The Downtown Alliance of Salt Lake City has elected Toni Guinney as chairman of its board of trustees for 2005-2006.
Guinney is a partner in and chief of operations for Gastronomy Inc.. a leading restaurant organization in Salt Lake City for the past 25 years, operating eight eateries in the Salt Lake Valley. He is also a partner in Gastronomy's real estate ventures, including the Salt Lake Hardware Building, the Ford Motor Building and the Firestone Building.
The Downtown Alliance has also elected two new members to its board - Bruce Bingham, partner with Hamilton Partners Inc.' and Vasilios Priskos, principal broker/owner of InterNet Properties Inc. Bingham and Priskos replace outgoing board members David Jensen (Zions Securities Corp.) and Prescott Muir (Prescott Muir Architects).
Other members of the Downtown Alliance board are John Gates (Snow, Christensen & Martineau), Lane Beattie (Salt Lake Chamber) and Gary Porter (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.)
The Downtown Alliance is a nonprofit organization serving the downtown property owners, businesses and residents by promoting downtown Salt Lake City as the premier cultural, business, economic and entertainment center in the Intermountain West.
