COLONIE -- A Watervliet man is in Albany County jail pending a Wednesday night court appearance on a felony drug sale count stemming from an investigation by town, Watervliet and federal agents.
Peter Sarinelli, 25, of 317 First Ave. was arraigned early Friday morning in Town Court on a charge of second-degree criminal sale of marijuana.
He was arrested late Thursday night after he allegedly sold six ounces of marijuana to another person in Colonie, said Detective Jay Gerace.
Gerace said a search of Sarinelli's apartment turned up $19,000 in small bills.
Gerace alleged that Sarinelli had been conducting his pot business for at least six months. "I'm sure it was longer," said the detective.
Sarinelli was arraigned by Town Justice Nicholas Criscione, who jailed him without bail.
