Qld: Beattie calls for health system reforms
BRISBANE, Jan 14 AAP - Premier Peter Beattie has called for national reform of the health system.
He also wants the support of federal opposition leader Mark Latham in the Queensland
state election campaign.
"In most of our hospitals, a majority of people who go to accident and emergency shouldn't
go there," Mr Beattie told Channel Nine today.
"They should be going to a GP who is bulk billing but they cannot get to see one."
